DR ALISON JOHNSTON

GMC 4203498 MBCHB (Dundee 1995) FRCGP, DFSRH

Dr Johnston joined the Practice in September 2012 as a salaried GP and became a partner in April 2013. Previously she was a salaried GP in Settle, North Yorkshire and a GP partner in Silloth. Dr Johnston has a special interest in preventative health and menopause and in her spare time she enjoys running, rugby and Thai boxing.

Dr Pathak did his undergraduate training in the Russian federation overcoming barriers of weather, language and integrating seamlessly into the local culture. He relocated with his family to the picturesque region of Cumbria and became a salaried GP at Hoad Medical Practice in October 2024. He has a special interest in dermatology & minor surgery and is looking forward to developing more areas of expertise as led by the patients.

Nurses

DEBBIE HARLEY

Debbie is a qualified and registered nurse. She can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings; she can also carry out cervical smears as well as specialising in diabetes.

KERRY BAILEY

Kerry is a qualified and registered nurse. She can help with a range of health issues such as family planning, cervical smear tests, healthy living advice, dressings and blood pressure checks as well as specialising in diabetes and long-term respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD.

Practice Management

JENNY RICHARDSON

Female

Jenny is the Practice Manager - she ensures the smooth running of the practice dealing with everything from finances, contract work, building and IT issues to HR, recruitment and complaints.

PARVIN THOMAS

Female

Parvin is the Assistant Manager and Workflow Manager. She supports the Practice Manager in the day to day running of the practice as well as co-ordinating the annual review recalls and managing the process for documents coming into the patient record.

Medicine Management

JULIE SAUNDERS

Julie works along side our Pharmacists and GPs to manage our prescription process - she actions medication requests from hospital discharges and nursing/care homes and makes sure all medication requests are issued within our practice time frames.

Patient Services Administrators

Our friendly team are the first point of contact for patients and work across all aspects of the practice needs covering reception, secretarial, workflow administration, patient records and medication requests. They triage patient calls and help signpost patients to the most appropriate care pathway. All of our Patient Services Team are trained chaperones. If you would like a chaperone to be present during an examination or consultation please let the Clinician know when you are called in for your appointment.
